- Suminagashi translates to spilled ink or floating ink. Ink designs float in a myriad of rings and shapes on the water's surface, responding to your breath, air currents around you and vibrations under your feet. You choose the moment to lay a sheet of paper onto the water and capture the image. No design can be repeated twice. Did you make this art work or did it make itself? What does it reveal about itself and your inner visions? Answers keep pouring in.
- The workshop will include a short presentation, lunch, tea served throughout, beautiful music, a meditative state of mind and floating ink dreams. You will go home with many creations to use as your imagination desires and knowing how to make one or more single sheet book structure.
